Atha Yoga
Provincetowne / Ballantyne, Charlotte, NC
Our review of Atha Yoga
The only studio in Charlotte that publishes a temperature for every class it teaches - from a 90F Sculpt to a full 105F Hot 26. Founded by a neuroscientist, and it shows in how carefully the whole thing is built.
What stands out
Five temperatures, five class types, all stated plainly: 105F for the traditional 26-posture sequence, 98-100F for Power Flow, 95F for Vinyasa, 90-92F for Yin and candlelight, 90F for Sculpt. Nobody else in this city gives you that ladder, and it means you can start at the bottom and work up without ever changing studios. The heat is infrared paired with an air-exchange system, so the room does not turn stale - the single most common complaint about hot yoga anywhere. And the $29 two-week intro against a $199 monthly rate is the most generous ratio in Charlotte. A perfect five stars across 214 reviews.
The honest tradeoff
The advertised prices are contract prices. That $144 a month is a twelve-month commitment; month-to-month costs $199, which is the highest headline rate in the city. Packs expire after six months and drop-ins after fifteen days, so buying ahead is risky if your schedule is unpredictable. And Rea Road is deep south Charlotte - if you live uptown or in NoDa, this is a drive you will make once and then not make again.
Best for
Anyone who wants to know exactly how hot their class will be, and south Charlotte practitioners who want a 105F Bikram sequence and a 90F Yin on the same membership. Take the $29 intro before you think about a contract.
