Our review of CorePower Yoga - Park Road
The better of Charlotte's two CorePowers, in Park Road Shopping Center - and the one where you can park without a fight, in the back lot next to the barbecue place.
What stands out
The reason to be here rather than at an independent is the membership: $175 a month buys you All Access at every CorePower in the country, which if you travel for work is the whole argument. The system is standardised and reliable - Hot Power Fusion, C2, Yoga Sculpt with weights - and the studio is open 6am to 10pm every single day, the longest hours in Charlotte. Full locker room with showers, mats and towels, and the $109 intro month is a fair way to test it.
The honest tradeoff
CorePower does not publish room temperatures at any of its studios, so 'hot' is whatever the studio decides that day - and in a city where Atha tells you every class temperature to the degree, that stands out badly. At $175 a month this is the most expensive membership in Charlotte, packs expire, and the terms include an arbitration clause and a class-action waiver. Feel Better Yoga is ten minutes away at $24 a drop-in with published temperatures.
Best for
People who travel and need a membership that works in other cities. Otherwise Charlotte's independents give you more, for less, and will tell you how hot the room is.
