Melting Point Hot Yoga
Huntersville / Birkdale (15 miles north of uptown), Charlotte, NC
Our review of Melting Point Hot Yoga
Fifteen miles north of uptown, in Birkdale - worth saying first, because this is a drive, not a stop on the way home. What is at the end of it is the oldest hot yoga studio in the Charlotte area.
What stands out
Fourteen years in the same room, which in a market where half the studios opened in the last five years counts for something. Two rooms - one heated, one not - means you can build a full week here without leaving, and the schedule runs from 5:45am to 9pm, which for a suburban studio is unusually committed. For Lake Norman, Cornelius and Huntersville residents, this removes the drive into the city entirely.
The honest tradeoff
Nothing is published. No prices, no room temperature, no amenities, no intro offer - the website tells you the studio exists and roughly what it teaches, and that is all. You are committing to a fifteen-mile drive without knowing what a class costs or how hot the room is. Only 43 public reviews, and the style range is narrow: heated vinyasa and yin, and that is essentially it.
Best for
Huntersville, Cornelius and Lake Norman residents who do not want to drive into Charlotte. Not a realistic option if you live inside the 277 loop - call before you drive.
