Our review of Uptown Hot Yoga
The only hot yoga room in uptown Charlotte, and the cheapest drop-in in the city at $20. It sits inside an apartment building, and it is run like an amenity rather than a business - which cuts both ways.
What stands out
If you live or work in Center City, this is the only heated room you can walk to, and $20 a class is the lowest price in Charlotte. The lineup is broader than the size suggests - power, sculpt and Pilates, all in the heat - and 4.9 stars says the teaching is genuinely good. Being inside the Uptown 550 building means it is quiet, clean and never chaotic in the way a street-level studio can be.
The honest tradeoff
The website is a half-finished template. There is no phone number anywhere, no room temperature, no amenities listed, and $20 is the only price you can actually read - membership rates simply are not there. It is also unstated whether the Yin and Restorative classes are heated at all. Twenty reviews is a very small sample. And there is a $10 fee for every missed class, with drop-ins forfeited entirely and no refund.
Best for
Uptown residents and office workers who want to walk to a hot class. Go for a $20 drop-in, not for a membership you cannot find the price of.
