Our review of Y2 Yoga Cotswold
Three studios across two floors, open until ten at night, and the cheapest yoga in Charlotte if you are a student. Y2's Cotswold flagship is the loudest room in the city, and it is unapologetic about it.
What stands out
The discounts are the most generous in this market by a wide margin: students aged 22 and under pay half price, over-65s get 30% off, and service members and military pay $99 a month against a $139 standard rate. No other studio in Charlotte comes close, and it says something real about who they want in the room. Three studios means the schedule never bottlenecks - two heated, one not - and the 10pm close is the latest in the city. Showers, lockers and a changing area, in a shopping centre with parking that actually works.
The honest tradeoff
Only two class types have published temperatures (85-95F for LSD, 85-90F for the cooler version); everything else heated is a mystery until you are in it. The full price list lives inside the Walla app, so $139 is the only number on the website. And the rooms are loud - the studio says so itself, and if you came to hot yoga for quiet, this is emphatically the wrong building.
Best for
Students, seniors and military - nowhere in Charlotte will treat your wallet better. Also anyone who wants music, energy and a 9pm class. Not for anyone seeking a quiet room.
