Hot Yoga Louisville
St. Matthews, Louisville, KY
Our review of Hot Yoga Louisville
The oldest hot room in Louisville and, by some distance, the most honest one about what it costs. Roots going back to 1997, a Bikram lineage, and a heat ladder that runs from 95F to a full 105F.
What stands out
This is the only studio in Louisville that tells you the temperature of every class before you book, and one of only two that publishes its prices at all. Hot 26 runs at 105F with 40% humidity - the classical sequence, done properly - while Hot Barkan Vinyasa sits at 100F and the standard Hot Vinyasa at 95F, so you can work up rather than being thrown in. Class packs never expire, which is rare, and monthly members get a shower towel and a mat loaner included rather than nickel-and-dimed. Nearly three decades of teaching depth sits behind it.
The honest tradeoff
Monthly memberships lock you in for three months, so the $138 is really a $414 decision. Kentucky sales tax of 6% is added on top of every price listed, which means the real drop-in is closer to $32 than $30 - the studio is upfront about it, but it is easy to miss. And the Beats class is a follow-along with no verbal instruction; the studio says plainly it is not for beginners, and it means what it says.
Best for
Anyone who wants the classical 26&2 sequence in a genuinely hot room, and anyone who wants to know exactly what they are paying and how hot it will be before they walk in. Start with Hot 26 or Hot Vinyasa, not Beats.
