Hot Yoga Studios in Louisville

7 studios · Kentucky · Updated August 2026

Louisville has seven hot yoga studios, and five of them will not tell you what a membership costs until you download an app.

That is the single most useful thing to know before you start looking. Only two studios in the city publish their prices at all — Hot Yoga Louisville at $30 a class and $138 a month, and Yoga on Baxter at $20 and $130. Everyone else, including the two most-loved studios in the city, routes you through a booking app before you can compare. It is not malice; it is what the booking software encourages. But it means the cheapest way to actually shop the market is to run the intro offers, which range from $30 to $50 and are the only prices anyone commits to in public.

The heat itself runs from 75°F to 105°F, which is a wider spread than the city's size suggests. Hot Yoga Louisville anchors the top with the classical Bikram sequence at a full 105°F and 40% humidity, in a lineage that traces back to 1997. YOGAST8, a thousand feet down the same stretch of Shelbyville Road, goes almost as hot — its SWEATY ST8 class runs at 104°F — but pins a published temperature to every single class name, from an 80°F restorative upward. At the other end, 502 Power Yoga deliberately holds its room at 87–90°F, and is the most-reviewed yoga studio in the city by a factor of three.

Geographically it clusters hard. St. Matthews holds two hot studios a mile apart on Shelbyville Road. The Highlands holds two more. Bend and Zen sits in Westport Village with the fullest hot schedule in the city — thirty-plus classes a week. Then the map thins out fast: YogaSix is fifteen miles northeast in Norton Commons, and Hot Spot Yoga is twenty-eight miles out in rural Oldham County, where it has been teaching nothing but the authentic 26&2 sequence since 2002.

What to know about hot yoga in Louisville

The single biggest thing: five of seven studios hide their prices. Only Hot Yoga Louisville and Yoga on Baxter publish membership rates. Bend and Zen, YOGAST8, 502 Power Yoga and YogaSix all sell through booking apps or tell you to call. Budget an evening of app downloads, or use the intro offers to compare.

Read the contract terms before the price. Hot Yoga Louisville and Bend and Zen both require a three-month minimum on monthly memberships — so a $138 month is really a $414 commitment. Bend and Zen goes further: cancellation must be requested by email, takes around two weeks to process, and all sales are final. That is the strictest policy in the city and it is worth knowing before, not after.

Kentucky sales tax is added on top. Hot Yoga Louisville states plainly that 6% goes onto every listed price. Assume the same elsewhere.

Best trials, in order: Yoga on Baxter's $30 for 30 days unlimited is the best value in Louisville outright. 502 Power Yoga's $45 for 30 days is the best if you want the city's strongest community. Hot Yoga Louisville's $38 week is the cheapest way to find out whether a 105°F room is for you. YOGAST8 gives you three classes for $30.

Practising once a week? Yoga on Baxter's Flex 5 — five classes a month for $70 — is the only tier in the city built for you. Everywhere else you are subsidising an unlimited membership you will not use. Note that unused Flex 5 classes do not roll over.

Don't be late to 502 Power Yoga. The door locks at class start with no late entry. Several studios do this, but 502 is explicit about it.

If you're new to heat: start at 502 Power Yoga (87–90°F) or in YOGAST8's cooler tiers (80–95°F). Walking into a 105°F Bikram room or YOGAST8's 104°F SWEATY ST8 as your first class is how people decide hot yoga isn't for them. Hot Yoga Louisville's Beats class is a follow-along format with no verbal instruction — the studio itself flags it as unsuitable for beginners, and it means it.

Four Louisville studios that come up in searches are not hot yoga. Together Yoga & Movement, The Inner Warrior, Infinite Bliss and EmberHaus Method all appear in "hot yoga Louisville" results but do not run heated yoga classes. The five HOTWORX locations are 24/7 infrared sauna gyms with video instruction, not studios with live-taught classes.
