Yoga on Baxter
Highlands / Eastern Parkway, Louisville, KY
Our review of Yoga on Baxter
The cheapest way into hot yoga in Louisville, and the studio that asks least of you before you walk in. Twenty dollars a class, thirty dollars for a month, and no pre-registration required.
What stands out
There is no other studio in Louisville where you can turn up without booking, rent a mat for a dollar, and pay twenty dollars. The $30-for-30-days intro is the best-value trial in the market outright, and the Flex 5 tier - five classes a month for $70 - is the only sensible option in the city for someone who practices once a week and does not want to subsidise a full membership. The studio's own new-student page points beginners at its Beginning Hot Yoga classes, so the on-ramp is deliberate rather than accidental.
The honest tradeoff
You will not know what you are walking into. The site publishes no class list and no room temperatures - the only reason we can confirm the heat at all is that the new-student page names a Beginning Hot Yoga class. Much of the website has not been touched since 2018, and the public review score (4.4) is the lowest of any studio on this page, with reviewers describing instructor quality as inconsistent. The Flex 5 classes do not roll over, so an unused one is simply gone.
Best for
Anyone testing whether hot yoga is for them without spending real money, and once-a-week practitioners who want the Flex 5. Call ahead and ask what is actually on the schedule.
