Hot House Yoga RVA
Short Pump / Glen Allen (far West End), Richmond, VA
Our review of Hot House Yoga RVA
A family-run studio in the Short Pump corridor that has been heating rooms since 2011, and the only one in the market that treats the air itself as part of the practice.
What stands out
The heating system is purpose-built rather than retrofitted: UV purification, ionisation, humidification and a full fresh-air exchange. If you have ever left a hot class feeling like you breathed everyone else's air for an hour, that is the specific problem this room was designed around. Fourteen years under the same family shows in the teaching, and the studio has grown into a wider wellness operation - massage, reiki, teacher training, cold-plunge community events - rather than staying a pure class factory.
The honest tradeoff
Almost nothing is published. Room temperature, drop-in price, membership rates - none of it is on the site; everything runs through the Arketa app. You have to download a booking app to find out what a class costs, which is a real barrier if you are just comparing options. Amenity details are equally thin, so do not assume showers without asking.
Best for
Anyone sensitive to stale, heavy hot-room air, and West End and Short Pump practitioners who want a studio with roots. Bring patience for the pricing.
