Hot Yoga Richmond
Stony Point (Southside), Richmond, VA
Our review of Hot Yoga Richmond
Richmond's hot yoga scene starts here. Open since 2002 as Bikram Yoga Richmond, this Stony Point studio is the city's original heated room and still the only place in town teaching the authentic 26&2 sequence alongside Inferno Hot Pilates.
What stands out
The traditional Bikram room runs at a full 102-105F with 30-40% humidity - the real thing, not a softened interpretation. That purism is rare now, and it means you get the exact same 90-minute sequence you would find in any classical Bikram studio worldwide. Inferno Hot Pilates at 95-100F gives you a genuinely different second option, and a quieter Yin class uses the residual heat rather than blasting the room. Two decades of teaching depth show in the instruction.
The honest tradeoff
Pricing is the weak point. Drop-in and membership rates are not published, and the intro-month offer is advertised at two different prices in two different places on the site - you will not know what you are paying until checkout. Memberships also carry a 3-month minimum, and annual plans cannot be cancelled mid-term. This is a commit-first studio, not a browse-first one.
Best for
Purists who want the classical 26&2 sequence in a properly hot room, and Southside practitioners who do not want to drive into the city. Less suited to anyone who wants transparent pricing or a no-commitment month.
