YogaSix Scott's Addition
Scott's Addition, Richmond, VA
Our review of YogaSix Scott's Addition
The franchise option, and the only hot yoga room inside Scott's Addition. YogaSix runs six standardised formats, two of them properly heated, in a polished studio on the ground floor of The Ella.
What stands out
The format system is the point: Y6 grades every class on a numbered scale, so you know exactly what intensity you are walking into before you book. For anyone new to hot yoga that removes the single biggest source of anxiety. The studio is spotless, mats are on hand if you forget yours, and the schedule is built around commuters - the late-afternoon slots exist for people leaving the office. Local reviews single out the owner-instructor rather than the brand, which is usually a good sign in a franchise.
The honest tradeoff
No prices anywhere. The site tells you to contact the studio for memberships and packages, and it does not publish room temperatures either - so you cannot tell how hot 'heated' actually is without asking. The heated formats also sit at the milder end of Richmond's range; if you want the 100F-plus experience, this is not the room. And the sister Regency Square studio has closed, so the second location a membership might once have covered is gone.
Best for
Beginners who want a graded, predictable on-ramp into heat, and Scott's Addition and Fan residents who want to walk to class. Not the pick for heat seekers or price comparers.
