The Clairemont CorePower, tucked behind Clairemont Drive near Jemez and Gila - and the one whose reviewers most often say they arrived intimidated and were not made to feel it.
What stands out
The recurring note in the reviews here is range: people of very different ages, body types and fitness levels in the same room, and instructors who actually adapt to them. For someone who has never set foot in a hot room, that matters more than any temperature. The chain system applies - Hot Power Fusion, C2, Yoga Sculpt, free first week, $189 All Access valid nationally - with showers and lockers on site and free street parking behind the studio.
The honest tradeoff
CorePower does not publish room temperatures, and this is one of the locations where reviewers describe the opposite problem to most hot studios: a room cranked past 100F with a humidifier running, and half the class flat on their mats by the forty-five-minute mark. It swings. There is also construction on Clairemont Mesa Boulevard nearby, so allow extra time. And Modo Yoga is two miles away, hotter, better loved and with free parking.
Best for
Nervous beginners who want a room where nobody is watching. Ask about the heat before you book if you are heat-sensitive.
