Reach Yoga
Pacific Beach, San Diego, CA
Our review of Reach Yoga
Infrared heat, a chai station, and a cold lavender towel at the end. Reach is the softest landing into hot yoga in Pacific Beach, and it means that as a compliment.
What stands out
Infrared panels heat you rather than the air, and at 85-95F this is a room you can breathe in - which is precisely why people who gave up on hot yoga elsewhere end up here. It is woman-owned and it shows in the details: the lounge, the free chai, the eucalyptus towel handed to you at the end. At $128 a month it is the cheapest unlimited membership at any dedicated hot studio in the city, month-to-month with no minimum term. There are showers, which matters more than it sounds in a beach neighbourhood where you might be going straight on somewhere.
The honest tradeoff
At 85-95F this is the mildest infrared room on this page. If you came for the 105F Bikram experience, this is not it, and the studio does not pretend otherwise. Class packs expire (six months for the 5- and 10-pack), and they are non-refundable. Garnet Avenue parking is its own event on a summer weekend - budget fifteen minutes you did not plan for.
Best for
People who have found forced-air hot yoga unbearable, and anyone who wants a genuinely comfortable first heated class. The best-value unlimited membership among San Diego's independents.
