Our review of Yoga Box - Ocean Beach
The Sunset Cliffs Boulevard location, opened in 2020, and the only Yoga Box that puts Yin on its schedule - which in a chain built on heat and weights is a small act of rebellion.
What stands out
That Yin class is the reason to pick this one over the others: it is the only slow, cool, restorative option anywhere in the chain, which means you can build a full week here rather than only the hard days. Everything else is the Yoga Box standard - 96-98F Power Flow, 93-95F Sculpt, 98-100F HOT YB - and the free three-day trial applies. Ocean Beach is a ten-minute walk to the water when you are done.
The honest tradeoff
No showers, which in Ocean Beach means you are driving home salty and sweaty, or you are not swimming. Bring a towel; there is no rental. Prices are unpublished. And parking on Sunset Cliffs Boulevard in summer is a genuine planning problem - the studio is in Suite 2B, set back from the street, so leave yourself time.
Best for
Ocean Beach locals who want both heat and a recovery day on one membership. The only Yin in the Yoga Box chain.
