Our review of YogaFuzn La Jolla
Twenty years of the same ninety-minute sequence, taught by a mother and daughter, in a 105F room off Pearl Street. YogaFuzn does one thing and has not changed it.
What stands out
One hundred and five degrees at fifty per cent humidity is the classical Bikram specification, and this is one of only three studios in San Diego that actually hits it. The sequence is unchanged, the lineage is direct, and two decades of the same family teaching it produces a precision that a rotating franchise roster cannot. Underground parking with an access code - in La Jolla Village, that is worth real money. Showers and a changing area, and mats and towels available if you have not brought your own.
The honest tradeoff
At $210 a month this is the most expensive unlimited membership in San Diego, and for a single style. The intro offer requires proof of San Diego residency, which quietly excludes anyone visiting or newly arrived. A mat and a large towel are mandatory, latecomers are not admitted, and the 26&2 sequence is the whole menu - if it is not for you, there is nothing else here.
Best for
Bikram devotees who want the authentic sequence in a properly hot room, and La Jolla residents who will use the underground parking. Not a place to explore; a place to commit.
